ADVANCED DRAMA SEMESTER B

THEATER PROJECT (ADVANCED)

The following project will cover much of the semester's requirement, so choose a topic according to your interests.

The purpose of this thesis project is to expose you to an aspect of theater, beyond acting, at a deeper level. While other assignments will be given over the course of the rest of the year, all of your time in between will be spent working on the steps in this thesis. 

REQUIREMENTS
1. Read the introductory chapters provided and take notes 
--Write a 2-page summary for each chapter, typed, with your name and heading

2. Read and do extra research on how to consider your topic
--Enough other sources so that your total source count equals five (depending on how many are already provided, your extra research sources will equal two or three)
--For each resource, you will write a 2-age summary, typed

3. Write a research paper on your findings
--Must use at least four sources, properly cited
--Your paper should have the following sections:
  --History/Background
  --Important Terminology
  --Styles and Techniques (or approaches)
  --Steps for executing your topic in an actual play
  --Final reflection
--Must be at least 5 pages, double spaced, with proper headings and citations

4. PROJECT
--Develop a written plan for completing your topic's execution in an actual play, step by step
  --This will be also typed and 1-2 pages
--Complete your role with your given topic, in an actual scene, with other students' assistance
